We are a grassroots group that focus on using creative practices and building supportive communities – healing through connection. We were founded in 2020 during the resurgence of the Black Lives Matter movement. Since then our little community has grown, and so has our ambition to make change in the City of York. We are based in York City Centre and our work focuses on Art Liberation workshops, showcasing the power of healing through creativity, along with our Mums of Colour Group which battles isolation and utilises the power of community. We are here, we are prioritising joy, and we aim to send a ripple through York, doing things differently, with people of colour at the centre of it all.
