<p>Extinction Rebellion York (XR York) is part of the international environmental pressure group&nbsp;<a href="https://rebellion.earth/">Extinction Rebellion</a>. . We use non-violent direct action and civil disobedience to urge decision makers and leaders to act now to reduce the impact of climate change. Our campaigns led to the City of York Council declaring a climate emergency in 2019 and pledging to reach Net Zero by 2030.</p>

<p>The aim of YorkCliConnect is to support and strengthen the community that understands, communicates and takes action on the Climate and Nature Emergencies we are all facing.</p>
<p>By connecting people, projects and organisations in York we&nbsp; facilitate the sharing of knowledge and resources, reduce duplication of effort, support and encourage one another, and grow our community.</p>
